Cheryl Leaves KS95

If you’ve ever listened to KS95 in the Twin Cities, then you know the name Cheryl; Cheryl Kaye to be specific. She use to be part of the hugely popular Van and Cheryl morning show. Now, Cheryl is no longer a part of the KS95 in general.

It seems that Cheryl’s contract wasn’t renewed. She may have been asking for more than the station was willing to pay, but then again, she was a big part of their history. Cheryl had been there for 9 years!

Maybe it was just time for her to move on or maybe she wasn’t happy with Greg Thunder. Or, probably the best bet, it just wasn’t the same after Van Patrick left.

Good luck Cheryl on your future endeavors, the Twin Cities will miss you. That is unless you just happen to pop up on some other radio or TV station. :)

Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics – Much Better

I posted earlier about how lame NBC’s Singing Bee was and I got to catch Fox’s version the other night which was much better.

Don’t Forget the Lyrics is a cross between Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and a karaoke competition. One contestant goes for a million dollars and it gets a bit harder every step of the way. They get three life lines and they can walk away at any time.

Entertainment wise, Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics is MUCH better.

NBC’s Sining Bee a bit lame.

The first, of the three, karaoke singing competitions is under way.  I’m not sure how each network got the same idea for the same show at the same time but they do.

NBC’s Singing Bee was a bit of a letdown.  There were six contents to start off with, but, if the first four do fine, the last to don’t even get to play.  How is that fair?  Then they ran though things quite fast and by the time it was over, I really didn’t care.

I think Joey Fatone is a good host.  Very likable and easy to watch.  But the show, kind lame.  We’ll have to see what ABC and FOX bring to the table.  Wait, does ABC have one?  I thought so.

Jordan Sparks is set to be the next American Idol

I think that 17 year old Jordan Sparks is going to win American Idol 2007. Jordan has the voice, the looks and is the best choice.

Blake is a bit overblown on his beat boxing. Sure it’s cool, but it’s a bit overdone. Melinda is good too, but she’s a bit old sounding. I doubt she’ll be very successful on the radio.

So in one week we’ll see Jordan Sparks as the next American Idol. Whooo Hoooo go Jordan!!!

American Idol Comes to Minneapolis Minnesota

Good luck to the thousdands of hopefulls standing outside Target Center in downtown Minneapolis today. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long day!

Hope to see some of you on TV too this season. :)

American Idol 2006 is Katharine McPhee or Chris Daughtry

I don’t now about you, but I’m routing for Chris Daughtry or Katharine McPhee to win American Idol 2006!

I feel Katharine is the only contestant that is getting better with each performance. Even though they didn’t like her much tonight, I thought she was one of the best performances.

Chris just rocks. I was worried he’d get stuck in the rock songs, but he’s really shown great range in the past few weeks. I think he’d make a great Idol and I’d buy his album!

The weakest two right now for me are Kellie Pickler and Paris Bennett. I just don’t feel that these two are cutting it. Kellie is getting worse as the shows go on and Paris isn’t giving it her all.

Only time will tell though. Which American Idol do you want to win?

George Huff – Miracles

Geroge HuffWinning American Idol isn’t everything. For some, success comes without the number one spot.

George Huff is one example that true talent can’t loose.

Miracles is his first studio release and it’s now available for download on iTunes. The CD is categorized as inspirational, but it’s a very upbeat fun album. My favorite track is A Brighter Day and I also think Bounce is quite good.

Checkout George Huff’s Miracles CD in iTunes today.
