Strawberried Peanut Butter M&Ms

I’m not sure who came up with this idea, but boy did it fail. The idea was to take peanut butter M&Ms and add a strawberry chocolate candy shell. Not good, that’s all I can say. Sad part is, we got them on the clearance aisle at Target. That should have been our fist sign.

Sure they sound kind of good, and they are promoting the Transformers movie, but it just didn’t work out.

Even though the candy didn’t taste the best, we still finished off the bag. Not good, but you can’t stop eating them. Mmm M&Ms chocolate candy.

Razzberry M&Ms Hit Stores

While out shopping the other day we ran across Razzberry M&Ms. That’s right, the chocolate candies are starting to go fruity. We just has to pickup some up and try them even though we’re not huge raspberry fans.

I have to say they were kind of tasty. If you’re a fan of chocolate oranges, then you’ll probably like these too. Hardcore M&Ms fans should probably stay away. It’s not the chocolaty goodness we are use to.

Have you tried them? What do you think?

DMV – Department of Motor Vehicles

I just have to say, the DMV rocks. I know, it sounds kind of weird but it’s fun to go there.

I’ve figured out there are two types of people that work at the DMV. Those that love to talk (newbies) and those that just want you to shut up and keep things moving along (the experienced). It’s really fun to try and strike up a conversation with them and just see where it goes. Most give moans and groans like they are trying to listen, others just kind of give you that “are you crazy” look.

I like to ask them if I can customize my license plate and then go though a ton of words that I know are taken. Like Hot1, Race-Me and Screw-You. Ha ha.

Or tell the you have to do your hair before getting your picture taken so you look stunning. Actually, I know a girl that wore a certain color shirt to coordinate with the border on her drivers license. How cool is that?!

Maybe some day the department of motor vehicles will be a cool hang out place, but until then, we just need to bring the fun ourselves.

Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics – Much Better

I posted earlier about how lame NBC’s Singing Bee was and I got to catch Fox’s version the other night which was much better.

Don’t Forget the Lyrics is a cross between Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and a karaoke competition. One contestant goes for a million dollars and it gets a bit harder every step of the way. They get three life lines and they can walk away at any time.

Entertainment wise, Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics is MUCH better.

NBC’s Sining Bee a bit lame.

The first, of the three, karaoke singing competitions is under way. I’m not sure how each network got the same idea for the same show at the same time but they do.

NBC’s Singing Bee was a bit of a letdown. There were six contents to start off with, but, if the first four do fine, the last to don’t even get to play. How is that fair? Then they ran though things quite fast and by the time it was over, I really didn’t care.

I think Joey Fatone is a good host. Very likable and easy to watch. But the show, kind lame. We’ll have to see what ABC and FOX bring to the table. Wait, does ABC have one? I thought so.

Die Hard – Oldie but Goodie

Last night I just watched Die Hard for the first time…. ever. The two local video stores didn’t have it but we found it at the library and I’m glad we did. Even though it’s about 20 years old, it’s still a great movie. Even Bruce Willis looked like Bruce. I swear he doesn’t age much.

Next up is trying to find Die Hard 2 & 3. Then, I can finally watch the latest and greatest; Live Free or Die Hard.

Pepsi Summer Mix

Pepsi Summer Mix is now in select stores. The limited time only drink is a mix of tropical fruit flavors and Pepsi. Kinda reminds me of the days of Pepsi Blue.

I got my bottle at Target and it’s OK. Tropical or fruit flavors just don’t go well with pop. Will it be a smashing success?? Nope. But it’ll be fun while it lasts.

Upshot Energy Drink is More Like Up Chuck

On a recent trip to Target, we saw the Upshot energy drinks so we decided to try one. Not only do they taste unbelievably terrible, but they also cost an arm and a leg.

These mini energy drinks are supposedly made from more natural sources, but it doesn’t matter. When cough medicine tastes better, you know it’s bad.

Avoid at all costs.

Toss Outlook for Thunderbird

Thunderbird 2.0 is out now and it’s had a lot of work done under the hood. It’s more responsive, has a built in tagging system and, with the calendar extension, has a built in calendar.

Thunderbird is free and cross platform, so pretty much anyone can try it. It even works with Microsoft Exchange accounts.

It includes saved search folders and lables too for organization purposes. You can even star a message just like GMail.

It’s about time to take one more item out of Microsoft’s empire and give Thunderbird a shot. Who knows, you may just like it better!

School for Scoundrels – Unrated Version

I checked out School for Scoundrels the other day and it was an OK movie. I was expecting so much more so it was a bit of a letdown. Funny at times, but it could have been better. It’s a decent movie and I’d give it a B. Not horrible, but not great.

School for Scoundrels is a comedy and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Heder, Jacinda Barrett, Matt Walsh, and Horatio San.
