It’s more responsive, has a built in tagging system and, with the calendar extension, has a built in calendar.

Thunderbird is free and cross platform, so pretty much anyone can try it. It even works with Microsoft Exchange accounts.

It includes saved search folders and lables too for organization purposes. You can even star a message just like GMail.

It’s about time to take one more item out of Microsoft’s empire and give Thunderbird a shot. Who knows, you may just like it better!
